Feed on God’s Word each day

Feed on God’s Word each day

Jeremiah 15:16….your word were found, and I ate them…

This story I read illustrate what most ‘christians’ do.

A woman bought a parrot, took him home, and then returned him to the pet shop the next day claiming that the bird doesn’t talk. The owner asked if she has bought him mirror because parrots love mirrors. Next day she returned and said that the bird still wasn’t talking. How about a ladder? Parrots love a ladder.  Sure enough she was back the next day; the bird still wasn’t talking. Does your parrot have swing? If not, that is the problem.

He’ll relax and talk up a storm. The woman reluctantly bought a swing and left. When she walked into the store the next day her counternance had changed. The parrot died she said. The pet shop owner was shocked and sorry. So he asked if the parrot ever said a word and the woman said yes, before he died that does the shop she goes not sell any food.

The moral of this lesson is that: if we don’t feed ourselves with God’s word each day we will die spiritually, may we not die spiritually in Jesus name. Jeremiah said, Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart.
